For parents and others involved in
raising children, nothing even comes close to the importance placed
on ensuring the child's safety at all times, day and night. This

THE TUMMY PROTECTOR, as its
name implies, is an apparatus to aid in securing children in conventional
car seatbelt. The invention takes the form of an oblong shield that
goes between the lap seatbelt and the abdomen area of the child.
The front side of the invention has four clips through which the
seatbelt is routed and secured. The invention compensates for the
placement of the seatbelt across the waist of the child would be
incorrect when compared to an adult. Additionally, should an accident
occur and seatbelt function, it insures that the restraining force
from the belt is spread out over a much wider surface area that
the belt and as such prevents a lower occurrence of internal injuries
to the child. The use of THE TUMMY PROTECTOR provides additional
safety for children traveling in a car and secured by a conventional
seatbelt in a manner which is quick, easy and effective.
